Stephen’s roots run deep into the soil of Hawaii. The son of the late Reverend Charles Gordon Kamohoali’i Hopkins, he was raised amidst the fishing and farming traditions of Kalihiwai Bay in Kilauea, Kauai, and the tight-knit communities of Lanikai, Waimanalo, and Kahala. This upbringing, assisting his father’s Episcopal ministry, instilled in him a foundational commitment to serving Hawaii’s families with integrity.

His professional journey is equally diverse. A U.S. Army veteran who served on a General’s security detail, Stephen spent 14 years in Federal Civil Service before becoming Chief of Staff for international icons.
